La Sochi , in perioada 12-15 noiembrie 2009, s-a desfasurat reuniunea anuala a Comitetului Executiv al AIPS, pentru prima data in istoria acestor intalniri participand si membrii Comitetului Executiv al Uniunii Europene a Presei Sportive.
La Sochi a avut loc reuniunea comuna a Comitetelor Executive ale AIPS si UEPS, prilej cu care au fost vizitate si santierele viitoarelor baze si instalatii necesare pentru desfasurarea Jocurilor Olimpice de iarna din 2014.
